This home once belonged to a samurai family of the Takashima clan (a village samurai residence). Built in the mid-18th century and renovated in the 19th century, this home is one of a few of its kind existing in Japan and is recognized as an official prefectural treasure. There is also an exhibit dedicated to 3 cabinet ministers who came from this family.
