Okaya Civic Gymnasium promotes good health and is the site of many kinds of sporting events. There are two gyms (main and small), two pools (indoor and outdoor), a Kyudo (Japanese archery) training room, a training room, tennis courts. Many people enjoy basketball and tennis camps during the comfortable summer weather.
The new civic gymnasium (The West Gym) opened in April, 1999. The arena which has two basketball/volleyball courts has a seating capacity for 2000 spectators and uses special roll-back seats when playing on the center court.
